Last week in Brussels, EUproVET actively participated in the VET4EU2 high-level workshop, a key milestone in the collective reflection on the next European Vocational Education and Training (VET) Strategy.
EUproVET took part in policy-oriented discussions alongside major European VET networks and stakeholders, including VET4EU2, EfVET, EVBB, EVTA, as well as representatives from EU institutions. The workshop marked the start of a structured, evidence-based process aimed at ensuring that the future European VET Strategy is firmly grounded in practice, innovation and real-world challenges faced by VET providers across Europe.
Discussions focused on three main priority areas:
- Learners, inclusion and lifelong learning pathways, including attractiveness of VET and skills recognition;
- Quality, innovation and skills relevance, with attention to teachers, trainers, curricula and Centres of Vocational Excellence;
- Governance, partnerships and Europe’s global role, addressing sustainable funding and cooperation with industry.
EUproVET reaffirmed its commitment to bringing the voice of VET providers to the European level and contributing to a systemic, ecosystem-based approach to vocational education and training.
